Jiamao Yuan came from Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. She has been interested in arts since childhood and she realized in high school that fine art would be her future goal. Her art skills improved greatly while attending Ohlone College. She took art courses in ceramics, sculpture, drawing, painting, photography, multimedia, and so on. These courses enrich the mediums she uses in her art to help her express what she cherishes. Jiamao earned the first money in her life by winning prizes of the President's Award in two-dimensional design from the Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition at Ohlone College in 2018. She has also won Jury's Choice Awards in drawing and graphic arts at Ohlone College Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Jiamao graduated with BFA Pictorial Art at San Jose State University in the Fall 2022 Semester. She will definitely continue her artistic path in the future.
